AboutUs
Greg Stephens
I am a skilled PV designer at Cascade Solar, combining hands-on field experience with a strong academic foundation in renewable energy. My journey into the clean energy sector began with a BS in Energy Engineering, which laid the groundwork for my technical expertise and passion for advancing sustainable solutions.
My professional background is diverse, beginning with my role as an interior/exterior electrician for the Nevada National Guard. During my time there, I honed my technical skills and developed a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to electrical systems—an experience that continues to shape my work today.
I further built on this foundation through consecutive summers interning at Portland General Electric’s West Side Hydro Project. This opportunity gave me invaluable experience in large-scale energy systems, reinforcing my understanding of the operational challenges and opportunities in renewable energy.
After transitioning into the solar industry, I gained experience from the ground up, starting with panel installations. This hands-on work gave me a deeper understanding of the practical side of solar, which I now apply to designing efficient, custom-tailored systems for a wide range of projects. My role at Cascade Solar allows me to bridge the gap between fieldwork and design, creating innovative solutions that maximize energy production and ensure long-term reliability.
With a passion for renewable energy and a diverse skill set that spans electrical systems, hydro projects, and advanced solar design, I am committed to contributing meaningfully to the transition to clean energy.
